Emergency Preparedness

Sherborn Board Of Health in accordance with the Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the local Police and Fire departments, is charged with developing an Emergency Preparedness Plan for the citizens of Sherborn. A critical Board of Health function of this plan is to establish an emergency dispensing site.

The Sherborn Board of Health is working in conjunction with the Dover Board of Health on the development and staffing of a regional Emergency Dispensing Site.  The site, if activated, will be staffed by Sherborn and Dover Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers who will administer vaccines and/or dispense antibiotics.  These volunteers will likely be a part of the response to infectious disease outbreaks of any magnitude.  Assistance will also be provided by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
